The Interdisciplinary Studies Committee consists of one faculty member from each of the seven disciplinary schools, plus the Dean of the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, who serves as chair.

This committee shall (a) advise the dean on all matters related to Interdisciplinary Studies and the CORE curriculum, (b) assist the dean in administering, analyzing, and responding to assessment data and other relevant information with the aim of improving the effectiveness of the CORE curriculum, (c) make recommendations to the faculty regarding any changes to the CORE curriculum, and (d) serve as needed as an appeal board for matters specifically related to CORE requirements.
