Tiger Research Grants

Tiger Research Grants offset student costs for research materials and/or travel to a scholarly meeting for presentation of research or creative work. Students who apply must write and submit the grant proposal. The proposal also must be endorsed by a faculty member who agrees to handle the financial reporting for the grant.

An applicant may request up to $750 for a single grant. The annual budget for this program is $6,000. Up to $4,000 may be awarded in the fall, and $2,000 is reserved for the spring. If all funds are not awarded in the fall, they will be added to the spring allocation. All students are eligible, except those with other comparable funding for the same project or who have received this award in the recent past.

The Academic Affairs Office awards and administers Tiger Research Grants, and the Dean’s Council may provide input, if necessary.
