Welcome to the Ouachita Baptist University Office of Communications and Marketing. We seek to effectively coordinate and communicate Ouachita’s mission and message as a Christ-centered learning community to the university’s internal and external constituents.

The Office of Communications and Marketing includes a team of five staff members and several student workers from Ouachita’s School of Humanities and School of Fine Arts. We are available to assist you in your print, digital and publicity needs. Please contact a member of our staff or fill out a request form at obu.edu/webedit.

Publicity Requests

Throughout the academic year, the News Bureau produces hundreds of news stories, press releases, blogs and feature articles that tell the story of Ouachita’s many difference makers, published at obu.edu/stories.

To request a story promoting your event or accomplishment, please fill out the appropriate publicity request form. Members of the media can find useful information in our media kit and are welcome to contact a member of our staff. For a full calendar of events, visit the official university calendar.

Graphic Design Requests

Graphic Services is available to provide print, design and publication support for Ouachita’s academic schools and departments, administrative offices and campus organizations.

We are available in a consultant role both to discuss pieces you may already have in place or to produce new materials from scratch. To request a design project, please fill out the graphic design request form.

Website Change Requests

As the Office of Communications and Marketing seeks to strategically enhance the university’s website as a whole, our staff is available to make individual changes. Please complete a form at obu.edu/webedit to submit your request.



Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Offices are generally closed between 12 noon and 1 p.m. each day for lunch. The Office of Communications and Marketing is located in suite 235 of Lile Hall.
